Ryan has worked at numerous award-winning visual effects studios and acquired dozens of feature and episodic credits to his name. Including the films Shazam!, Monster Hunter, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark; as well as TV series The Expanse, The Boys, Vikings, and Mrs America.

Ryan received the Red Dot Award in 2017 for “Sonova”, a fully animated 3D short film that he co-directed and supervised. Ryan has continuously proven himself with his artistic vision and technical expertise when creating complicated physical phenomena in the simulation realm, and also constructing robust pipelines with cutting-edge workflows.

Ryan graduated with a BFA in Visual Effects from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). He has been utilizing procedural workflows and focusing on dynamic simulations from the beginning of his VFX journey. Ryan kicked off his professional career working at SideFX Software, where he further honed his Houdini skills and became a great problem solver.
